Hi All,

On Saturday we travelled out Salisbury North for our round 10 clash.

The boys trained very well during the week after a much needed mid-season break.

We knew, going into the game, that Salisbury North were going to present a great challenge, out there on their home turf and being in great form recently.

With our skipper Sam Inglis and Vice-Captain Henry Papatolis both on the sidelines we were excited for who might step up.

The game was mostly goal for goal and control of the game flipped and flopped between us and Salisbury North.

In the end, it was great to finish with a thrilling 1 point win!

As mentioned, we need players to step up and I thought our backline in particular were brilliant all day – Tom Pearce, Aidan Lock, Adam Dorward, Tom Unger, Tom Derham and Dean Bonnici fought tirelessly all day.

The midfield was led by Dylan Morton and Finn Betterman who were brilliant in the contest and Declan Grant snagged 4 much needed goals up forward.

Onward now to our match up next week against top of the ladder Broadview back at the Cave!

The competition is so strong and we just need to keep winning!

Finally, I would like to mention and thank 2 of our many officials / volunteers. Ray Wright has absolutely stepped up and assumed the reigns as our head trainer this year and been absolutely brilliant. We cannot thank you enough Ray!

Also, Geoff Inglis (father of Captain Sam) has taken on the role of A grade team manager this year and not missed a beat. Even with Sam being on the sidelines Geoff has fronted up every week. Thanks mate!
